Re: cascade rig help
Hey Roger I just fix mine down with an impact lead never bother with SRT springs. I also never use a clip down rig for more than one session I always rebuild them with new hooks. What are you using for snoods maybe its too stretchy?

Re: cascade rig help
using amnesia snoods but long ones ,with the srt spring i can lay the lead on the sand gently without the rig un clipping for an off the ground cast had no probs with the one with out srt so maybe i,ll drop it
using an imp for the release without any problems .when i say the crimps are adjustable i leave them so they need a lot of effort to move them but it gives you the option if you need it to do a little tweek on the beach

Re: cascade rig help
have you ever tried the breakaway adjustable crimps? very good. sakuma do them also but didnt like them, the rubber insert kept coming out and they cost about 5 times as much as the breakaway ones.

Re: cascade rig help
no i dont see the point in them when i can leave an odinary crimp adjustable ,THERE,S A RECCESION IN PROGRESS!!!
its bad enough paying the rip off price for petrol without paying for fancy tackle

Re: cascade rig help
On the 3 Hook Cascade rig I tend to use an SRT on the Top, Never bother with one on the second snood but aways leave a bit of room for a bit of give between the 2 crimps just so it clips in right... never have any bother...
