what species do u catch in Dublin in January ?
I want to go fishing this month and i live in Dublin. would i be wasting my time or is there some species u can target from around balbriggon to bray. if so what could i expect to catch and where would i catch them.

if the sea roughens up ie.a bit of surf(bigger the better) you have a good chance of codling up to 3 lb ,just nice for eating
otherwise its small whiting ,coalies,flounder and rockling ,use size 4 hooks to improve hookups in calm conditions ,alot of fish will be in very close just behind the first wave an underarm swing of the rod will get your bait onto the coalies ect,fish one rod in close and experiment with a second rod futher out,dusk and into darkness is the best time
greystones south is always worth a shot ,try to fish bigger tides to improve your chances,and good luck!!
