Haven't fished Poolbeg in a while and was thinking of heading there at the weekend. Anybody fished it lately?

Baily lighthouse might be worth a shot for codling and coalies.
Best not fished at night as its a bit of a climb down, can be fished into rough ground or out onto the sand.
If you need some directions as to where to fish let me know.

Re: Poolbeg in January?
Fished poolebeg before xmas at dark with light tackle and was pestered with seals, crabs and very small whiting, eventually got what seemed like a good bite and on light gear felt a nice weight reeling in.Was gobsmacked to see 4 crabs like peas in a pod tightly holding onto the hook bait and this was the same for the rest of the session.
Talked to a lad that had walked when the tide was well out on the sand along the boulders from the car park area heading up to the swimming club and he said there was thousands of crabs.,Was told to fish the high stronger tides there instead because the crab dont stir as much because of the faster current so would have better luck......
