People:myself and alex(yes midget i know i was shocked too)

Duration:4hours

Tide:LW at 2.15ish

Weather:sun,rain,hailstones then snow.

Bait:mack,lug,whites

Rigs:flappers

Results:Alex- 1 Bass,2 turbot and 3 flounder
myself-9 flounder,4 turbot,2 coalies and a bass




Report:Great session, finally got alex to come for a session with me so we headed off to a beach for a few hours.
I had a fish straight away, a 14cm flounder! Tiny thing.
I started to get a few doubles of flounder when alex got one and he was off the mark. After a few flounder and turbot later i got a better bite with resulted in a bass. Small, 34cms, but my 1st bass from this beach. Soon after i heard shouting and looked around and alex had one! 30 cms and his 1st off the west coast. I was re baiting a trace when i looked up saw another good bite. Got a flounder and turbot double the flounder being 36cms. Alex got another 2 turbot soon after his bass. Started to get extremly cold and wet/windy and we were running out of bait. Last cast i got a double of coalies which ended a great session!

wel done on a good report and session lads. nice to see the westy bass are still about.

nice mix there, 36cm is a fine flounder, sounds like a satisfying session.
2013 Sea Species:- Bass, Flounder, 5 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Whiting, red gurnard, grey gurnard, Pollack, coley, mackerel, sea trout, cant remember cos I didn't update at the time.....
2012 Sea species:- Pollack, Coley, Mackerel, Cod, Bass, Sea Trout, Haddock, Plaice, Dab, Flounder, Red Gurnard, Grey Gurnard, Pouting, Whiting, Corkwing Wrasse, Ballan Wrasse, Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Brown Trout caught on beach.
2011 Sea species:- codling, L.S. dogfish, coley, whiting, pollack(4lb 3oz), sea trout, shore conger eel (15lb), ballan wrasse, grey gurnard, plaice, dab (and lobster).

Yeah i am, it was good to get out and the fish gods rewarded me with a bass for getting back into it 8) :D
