North Clare coast

Hi all

Finally wet a line with Limerick Dave after a long break. Headed for the north coast of Clare. Weather was horrible but couldn't believe it when we bagged a half dozen mackeral.
We were going to do a bit of bottom fishing but weather turned really bad.

A sea otter was out in front of us for a small spell. Dolphins about 50yards out too. Good to get back at fishing though. :roll:

hi blackhead, had a very quick run to west clare 2 weeks ago, to top up on macks, had about 10 before had to leave, good to know they are still about, also had a couple of herring and coalies,
Speices 2011 : Codling, Whiting, Bass, Flounder, Ray, Dogfish, Turbot

Speices 2012 : codling, Bass (pb), Flounder

Speices 2013 : Codling, thornie, Bass, whiting, coalie, flounder,dogfish,painted ray, Sea trout, Turbot

Species 2014 : Codling, thornie, turbot, flounder

2012 PB List - Bass 11lb

Whats the fishing like around Fanore and Ballyvaughan during the Winter?, is it worth a trip down from Dublin?, I only fish there in the Summer months.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at the office!
