it's one of the best! i just wish they'd bring out more breaking strains.

You can get every breaking strain possible if you order from some of the Italian on-line tackle shops, but thats all I am saying about that 8) 8)

i never got on with super snood! amnesia, maxima, berkley transition or sight free are good.

got to agree with mark(m.b.3.) here with snoods. if i fish cloured water i always use amnesia, or clear amnesia in clear water.

super snood just aint the same quality as amnesia

Got to agree with most on here. Tried super snood as a freebie in 20lb and used it as rotten bottom as I thought it was awful as a snood line.

Use amnesia in clear or black depending on trace and venue. Often black for flatties in the estuaries.

it isn't so good for some applications in the heavier strains such as rough ground and on pullies as it hasn't got the spring in to absorb the stretch.

I can't seem to pick up flurocarbon snood material below 15lb without paying an arm and a leg. Once you go below this bs you seem to enter the fly leader world and the prices are steep. Does anybody know a good source for below 15lb bs flurocarbon?

seaguar, wychwood etc all fly leaders but shouldnt be overly expensive.
picked up 10lb x 50mtrs at the show at the weekend for £2.50
i normally use the seaguar in 15,25,30 and 55lb flurocarbon, its around £10 a spool.

that's not bad Phil! seaguar is the one i forgot to mention. i got 200metres of the stuff in 10lb. for 20euro. it's not the snood line it's for reel use but it's fine- i really like it!

are those bigger spools called seaguar pro carbon or something?
the smaller seaguar snood line spools i use are designed for saltwater use as well, dunno if that makes a big difference or not!!

that's it alright. it seems pretty good. i have to admit i haven't used it yet because the seas have been heavy of recent. but just by tryin it out on the rigs.....it sits well with no tangling.

Cheers for that Phil, will keep my eyes open at the Dublin show. Tell me this, what do you be using the 55lb fluro for? Is it for your main trace body?

yeah pete, main trace bodies for the heavier full flurocarbon scrathing rigs, i find that the heavier body sometimes gives you less chance of your trace tangling up in the surf, also gives you that bit more abrasion resistance, and you can safely chuck 5oz leads plus baits if required on it which a lighter body may not allow you to do.
