tea rooms,best rig

going to chance killiney in the next few days,just wondering if there is a rig to be made,to limit the lost traces

Id use a Pulley rig with some form of week link. The week link I use is 2 gemini lead links with bait clips joined together with weeker line than the mainline on your reel . the links join together to allow you to cast and release when they hit the water allowing you to break free of your lead if it gets stuck.

perfect i'll give that a go, fished there before had good results.but always lost heaps of gear

plain leads were a lot easier to get back there last time i fished it. you can flatten them with a hammer so they rise to the top quicker. fished poorly last week.

Yeah I agree, didn't lose as much when I used the flat and watch leads and make sure that your mainline is heavy enough too, I'd say a minimum of 30lb.

was down 3 days last week first day was ok with a nice surf and nothing the other 2 nights which were flat calm and northerlies.
