mitchell universe 2

#1 Post by taz »

mitchell universe 2 bass
lenght 3.3 metres
casting weight 30g- 100g
material carbon
price €40

this is a brill rod with a lovely feel to it. i have had it 5 months and cannot fault it i normally take it with for beach fishing along with a beach caster, I usually set it up flats but get a great cast on it .It has a very sensitive tip which shows up all little fish so it saves a lot of fish from being deep hooked ,which is very usefull for saving fish and time trying to unhook deep hooked fish .
now for the bad stuff. it only comes in 2 piece which are quite long and if you are careful you could break the tip going over bad ground or packing into car (speaking from experience i'm on my second rod )

all joking and kidding aside'those rods are that good in my opinion i have five on order.they do save small fish being deeply hooked;you can defenitly tell early on if you have a small fish sniffing around your bait.and there is also fantastic sport out of it with bigger fish.9 out of 10 for the mitchell universe 2

I have a 15ft version of this - have only used it on sandy beaches and estuaries and it is excellent for these type of venues. Good bite indication, casts well with a simple overhead thump and the length allows you to cover a lot of sea bed if using three hook flappers with long snoods.
