Hey Folks.

Wondering if ya could help me here and save me hours of traipsing through websites and jotting down prices. Ive looked at a few but a lot of them require you to register to checkout and I get enough bloody emails as it is...

Is there any that have really low postage prices?

If you know exactly what your after ring Spotty Dog Tackle and ask for a quote. You could also chance your arm and ask Irish tackle dealers to match the online UK prices. Maybe best over the phone as John Smith though

m8 depends what yer looking for but postage is a killer (for big stuff -rods etc have been caught bad for that 40quid!)!...would call to get price of post before ordering....try

Ah just small stuff. Hooks, swivels etc... Dont think i'd buy a rod off the net. I know a bloke in postal customs and he does tell me awful stories...

was custom made rod m8...for small stuff flea bay...usually good for bulk split amoung m8's!

I use "BlakDogTackle.com". It's a UK based site. Get anyone suggest an Irish site that compares, to keep the money at home in these recessionary times?!

Indeed, when trying to order a beta box with backrest from Keenans guns and tackle in wales they quoted £20 for postage, ended up getting it from Gerrys, with IE8 etc tabs make comparing prices a breeze.

Also when not in a hurry check ebay.

yeah,, be really carefull ordering stuff from wales. i found a site who had the shakespear salt beach caster i was after for only £54 went through the process of ordering it and it was only when i got my confirmation e mail back from them that i spotted they were looking £40 for p&p i was outraged and got straight on the phone to them to cancel the order . i told the fella that at least dick turpin had the decency to wear a mask when he was robbing people so they knew what was going on

was explained to me that the post office will not carry anything over 1.2m so only option was courier...ryanair with overnight b&b would be cheaper option... ...on a serious note if you know someone with City Link business account they can collect from UK mainland for 'alot' less!...
