ANOTHER SPOT ON CAUSEWAY

Well all i can say is what a day charlotte and i had. got down for about 10 and i set up some lures to have a blast to see if i could catch some fresh bait before using my frozen stuff.
well how much was i surprised to get 86 mackeral between us both. not including the coalies and pollock. i was getting at least one a cast. it was great. so after we had 60 odd i through out some fresh bait and ended up getting attacked by dabs. if it was a shore comp it would have been great but it got boaring after a while, and ended up just leaving the rod for them to hook them selves while i spun for more mackeral.
i also had two small dogs to add to the day.
best day for a while and freezer looking good.

I know that wee spot well nick, suprised you didn't pick up a load of gurnard as well as the dab.
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

Normaly take alot on bait or spinning but nothing st all this year. Didn't think about it until you said. How strange.

some really big plaice, to be had from that spot also big pollock, to the right side of the harbour.

Had big plaice last year from there and our biggest pollock so far this year caught by my daughter . 6.6lb and 8.9lb

was out today and had 9 in 30mins but had to come home after my wifes grandfather died
