Can anyone decode the model numbers for Abu range of reels?
What does C3 signify i.e. what's the difference between 6500 and the 6500C3? Any recomendations for a good all round choice?

I think c3 may be something to do with the braking system. For an overall reel I would go for the Pen 525 but for clean ground the best abu model would be the 6500 mag elite.

cheers George. The 525 always seems to be recommended above the abu reels as an all-rounder

I have a 525 mag and a abu 6500 mag . Both are excellent reels but i prefer the 525 because i find it is more of a all rounder .
