Wicked Disappointed!

#1 Post by Pete Doyle »

I've been out fishing the last two evenings. Fished two completely different marks, One up the wexford direction and another in west waterford. Used sandeel, mackrel, fresh lug in wexford and razor, mackrel, sandeel in waterford! I was fishing for a good 3hrs both nights and nothing! Not even a reasonably decent bite! some disaster! :(

you prob should have brought some rag  but then again we all have blanks every now and then so dont give up sometimes its just a poor choice of venue or tide?

As roger said, it could be to do with the location or mark where you were fishing or the time of tide you fished the places at. Or perhaps the marks you where at just aren't very productive at the minute for whatever reason. Finding out what the best state of tide to fish a particular mark and then going and fishing it over that tide does increase your chances of catching. But, having said that, it could be neither of these things throwing that theory out of the window. Sometimes even when you get all of these things right, the bait, the tide and the mark you can still do poorly but don't let that put you off, that is just fishing for you. Fishing is so unpredictable that's why you just have to stick at it and in the end the good days will make-up for and make you forget about the bad days that you have had. Keep your head up and keep at it, good luck and tight lines to you.
