hey lads and lassies... anybody know of a good tope mark from the shore around the sligo mayo area....ive heard streeadh in sligo can throw up some........ any ideas ???

easkey or ballisader bay is known for them.theres a guy on here called shane r .hes from that way and he fishes tope down there.hopefully he will help ya

i think ive cheated shane before on this before..he seems to know the ballisadore/ aughris area fairly well... what time of year is best for tope ?

I might do a bit of fishing for them but fishing for them is alot different from catching them

Seriously though the beach I mentioned to you last week Colly is supposed to throw up a few. I went out last Saturday night with the intention of doing a bit of Tope fishing but you I could hardly open the car door with the gale that was blowing at the mark. Hopefully the wind and the surf will have calmed down a bit by this weekend so I can have a proper crack at them.
