Dalkey Island

#1 Post by youonlythevinegar123 »

A few of us were thinking of heading over tommorow to target pollack, wrasse, conger and whatever else is there. Has anyone fished there recently, and if so was it worthwhile? Any info regarding what species, what baits, what methods etc, would be apreciated.

was over there a couple of weeks ago with a few friends and had plenty of wrasse and pollack.Wrasse up to about 3lbs but there is definitly bigger ones there so good luck with that.As for tackle bring plenty, bit of a nightmare to be honest.Float fishing with rag will get you some fish if your short on rigs after about 20 mins.....

How often do yhe boats go over? ,what time do they start and finish?, do you need to book a boat over or just turn up at Bulloch?
