Fibre-glass rods

Carbon fibre rods can smash easily - if trod on or dropped, or if grit gets into the junction between rod parts. I used to have a glass fire spinning rod and it was indestructable although a bit heavier. Can you still get them?

yes I am pretty sure they still make them.
