People:myself plumster

Duration:about three or four hours

Tide:rising

Weather:warm

Bait:rag lug sandeel crab

Rigs:2 hook flappers 3/0 hooks

Results:1 flounder 1 bass plumster 1 flounder




Report:fished a local beach on monday evening, fairly warm calm evening. first cast i gat a slackliner, bass i tought but i reeled in a flounder. it messured 42cm so new pb for me. next cast got a small schoolie, then nothing for the rest of the evening, i went and broke my leg the next day so no more fishing for a while.

how the feck did you manage to break your leg?not football or gaa i hope!who is gonna catch all them bass now and keep plumbster on the straight and narrow :?: have you considered a humpa lumpa with a long snorkle and face mask ?or crutches with a few eyes taped on and a fixed spool might work ,eric could lend you his waders your leg would fit in them with the cast no bother :mrgreen:

ha ha, some good ideas there roger, did it at rugby training, i think clogherhead peir is the only place id manage alltho at this time of the year it can be more dangerous than a rugby pitch.

thats a big bummer man as well as painfull. a deckchair and your cast wrapped in clingfilm [just the bottom part] to stop sand from getting under and you should be well able to fish all you need is a caddy [someone to carry the gear] :lol:

Nice flounder, sorry to hear about breaking your leg. I have had a problem with my foot for the last month - I have gone out fishing a couple of times when I thought it was better only to agrivate it again - it is so frustrating not been able to get out fishing so I know how you are feeling :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:
