Portmarnock beach?

#1 Post by Sweetwrasse »

Hi folks. Anyone fished Portmarnock beach lately? Am thinking of heading down tomorrow night. Does it fish best on the fill or on the drop? Presumably worm baits will catch a few flats? Any information much appreciated, I'm determined to find a decent multi-species mark that I don't have to drive for 2 hours to get to!!

the rocks to the left of the beach also fish well at times. the hot spot seems to be the diving platform in the middle of the rocks known as the high rock. if you get a chance you shold view this area over low water as it is a tackle graveyard but you will also be able to pick out 2 or 3 spots that can be fished over high water. ive had the odd bass to 3lb from the rocks and also good hounds. crab is no1 bait, best of luck.
