west of ireland storm beaches

#1 Post by saving private brian »

hi all.with all these strong winds and rain,i just drove to a local beach near me to find a good long running surf up.now wat i want to no is that do any anglers find these beaches any use for fishing on.my thoughts wud be different if i lived down south where i cud say the surf beach cud be good for bass but up here theres not alot of bass around.with the heavy pounding waves breaking to the shore line and starting a long way out do u reckon that it is still possible to get fish in these wild fast moving breakers.???????????????????.or is it a waste of time

I love fishing those beaches, usually throws up plenty of flounder along with the odd bass and up near you, plenty of trout!

Yup, without waders you wont be able to fish it properly, cause the water generally moves up to 60 meters between waves
