Illegal bass nets in east cork

#1 Post by Donnyboy1 »

Hi all, I think I saw some illegal nets at a well known long sandy bass beach last night, ballybranigan, I reckon they were put out for the spring tide as I only ever remember there being nets like that there last year? (also reported by someone on this forum last year)

If anyone is down by ballybranigan have a look, maybe they are something else?
I didn't have my phone or camera so no pics.
Entries now open for the All Ireland Shore Cod Championships on November 29th hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

I was tempted to swim out and have a closer look but they were quite far and I hit the beach on the high tide mark so I was risking a strong pull on the swim back.

Damn :(
