Fished Gormanston last night and blanked. Ihave been told it can throw up some nice bass. Any info on this?

i live in drogheda and fished there twice from the beach ,once in summer when i could see mullet not 30 yards from the shore down where the army have their firing range and once in the winter when i blanked completly . i have gone out in to the bay in a small boat with an outboard from gormanstown and just caught mackeral after fishing for hours i just do not think there are any features on the seabed to keep fish there . its very flat and none too deep. lets know if you have any luck there cheers pk

king65 is right, although a few bass and seatrout have been taken there in the past its quite featureless but if you cross the delvin and walk sth around the headland(500m or so) you reach a lovely little cove that usually holds some lovely fish.
