West Waterford 16/06/10

#1 Post by declan65 »

People:me

Duration:2hours

Tide:rising high at 9

Weather:glorious

Bait:lures various

Rigs:

Results:5 bass up to 6 lbs

Report:
Ban over, so time to hit the water. Arrived at rock mark at 07.15, weather beautiful and conditions perfect. First cast had a follow right up to the waters edge but no take... looking good then... about 6 or 7 casts later got hit by a silver fella :D only about three pounds but put up a hell of a scrap.. breaking the surface and running parallel to the shore.. landed ,photo and returned.. blank avoided.
Fished on over the next 2 hours with a fish every twenty minutes or so,biggest just short of 6 lbs. Kept one for the pot.. he was deep hooked and didn't make it.
Photos later when I get a chance. Happy days ladies and gents!!!!

Well done Declan, fantastic result. Great report and pictures - although they are making me slightly jealous  but I'll get over it.
You didn't waste anytime getting out there once the ban was over and your just right too, congrats on a great session.

Thanks all, surprised Cortaz didn't beat me to the first report (sorry Arthur) , all bass took feed shallow no 9... being using that lure for ages.. missing a treble at the back and pretty battered at this stage but still very effective :D
