Hi all
We fly into Kerry Airport on Saturday to drive down to Ventry for a weeks fishing (when allowed out by the non-anglers in the party)
I was wondering what options I have for tackle shops on the drive down? Ryanair hold luggage allowances beeing so mean I'm wearing me wellies onto the plane, but I'd rather buy weights and some bait once we land if possible.
Thanks
Peter

Re: Dingle Tackle Shops
Hi Peter,
Garvey's sports shop in the high street Dingle sell Tackle and they had weights last year , just not a big selection. They also sell frozen Sandeels, last year they only had local frozen Eels which were not as good as Ammos that they had previously stocked ,but we had plenty of Small eyed rays on them you just need plenty of thin elastic to bind them on as they tend to split open as you put them on , whereas Ammos dont. Mackerel are plentiful at the moment , some of my friends were there last week and caught lots , any of the rocks should produce even the concrete piers in Dingle harbour. There are a few lugworm to be dug on the beach leading up to Dingle Lighthouse and also the beach opposite the Dun an Oir golf course ( there used to be a golf course there anyway). Usually a few peeler crabs amongst the weed and rocks by the Milltown bridge in Dingle or at the back of the large hotel in Dingle ( forget its name). Good luck.
