For rechargeables and charger, you won't do much better that 7dayshop.com

Quality chargers at about £8 and 2800mAh batteries for about £3.50. I've bought dozens of packs and only had one battery fail.. I've had several of the Tronic batteries go on me, so I won't use them any more.

Thanks roger for telling me about this. I went to my local LIDL store in Bangor yesterday and bought the battery charger costing me: £16.99 and two packs of the 2500 batteries at £3.49 per pack. I took it home and charged up the batteries and tested them on my petzel headlamp I use for fishing and the light they give off is brilliant, very powerful indeed. No more buying packs of batteries every time before I go away, these new rechargeable ones will save me money in the long run, never mind how good the light coming from my headlamp is now, I’m well pleased.
