Fish ID

#1 Post by Richie07 »

Spinning this morning caught what looked very like a Pollock but was very orange with cod markings on the back, the fins were red/orange, it had no barb. At first I thought it was a red cod but as I said had no barb could it have been a cod/pollock hybrid of some sort?. Sorry I have no pic. Any ideas?
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at the office!

It is likely a pollock feeding in red kelp
