Daily Star and the Ban...
Has anyone read todays daily star that says on page 73 "SUMMER BASS FISHING BAN iS NOW LIFTED". It goes on to mention that the closed season is between 15 may and 15 june.

Email from Irish Bass.org
Hello Cormac,
Thank you for your email. I have just seen the piece in the Irish Daily Star and on contacting the fisheries boards and other sources it appears David Gray has made a blunder. There appears to be no truth in it whatsoever and we have contacted the paper and asked for a correction/retraction. The fisheries boards have done the same.
To try to sort out the confusion we have put some information on the Irish Bass facebook page and our website.
Please pass this information on to any of your angling friends.
Thanks for getting in touch.
Best regards
John Quinlan
