Report:had to work today so I could not get out too early,I decided to head to the same beach as yesterday to try for turbot again,got to the beach and was set up by 18:30,had a few early bites but no hook ups it went very quite around high tide and after
I did see a pair of very large birds which I think were sea eagles,they were way bigger then any birds i have ever seen before,hard to tell what they were as they were at a distance

I waited at the beach until about 21.30 and decided to head for a pier to save the blank
when I arrived it was a mess with cider bottles and rig packets and gear,I set up and cast out and started to clean up some of the mess and put it in the bin 10 foot away,I got well rewarded for the clean up with all the tackle and new rigs still in packets I found,if you lost a lot of gear at a pier in connemara over the weekend pm me all your details and I promise I will send it all back to you after the litter warden has seen the photos of the mess
got 3 pollack and 1 coalfish on feathers after the clean up and decided to hit for home after the blank was diverted

Hope it was a pair of Sea Eagles as it means they are migrating from the release areas in Kerry. Was up close and personal with one last week in the Burren Bird of Prey centre. This youung lady is 2 years old and will shortly be flying over the Burren.

ill be honest with you i thought i was seeing them lads out and about in connemara over the last month - but i kept saying they cant be the eagles
suppose heading up to connemara for a gawk is the same as one of us walking down to the shop!

i cant blame the macky bashers for the litter,mainly flounder rigs and flapper rigs,no sign of feathers
