Lure fishing eh? Barley cove direction, well there's plenty of pollack to be caught off the rocks around to the left of Barley Cove as you look at it, if you're into mackerel I haven't heard of many being caught from the shore as yet, but I wouldn't have a great deal of interest in the anyways. There is a small beach next to Barley Cove called chimney cove, this produces plenty of small flounder and, in the right conditions, some good Bass too, my preferred bait here being crab or frozen sand eel. However if you are using lures (plugs?) head to the jutting out rocks to your left, a crystal minnow can be great here. Oh, and don't forget that it's close season for the Bass at the moment! From the rocks in the area you can catch some fantastic Ballan Wrasse using small velvet swimming crabs, I've had a few on spinners but it's not my thing. Good luck!

Is chimney cove the beach with the pontoon or is that barley cove? I dying to catch a few wrasse, i was thinking the rocks between those two beaches?? Would it have to be velvet swimmer crabs? Would green/red shore crabs do?
