Re: Catching more fish
right lad, i fish dunmore the hole time!!
get yourself down to pj in the harbour and get few frozen bait, the sea package is prob best for dunmore, its what i use constantly. In the lines of Pollock i've caught plenty of them on feathers down on pirates cove(its past the flat rocks through the fields on top and then after about 4 or 5 fields down a grass hill! ive got wrasse, makeral, pollack and garfish down there. on the flat rocks wrasse on the float seemed be a killer on a nice sunny day, but other days the line wasnt looked at!! and ovbiously the mackeral on the flat rocks, few pollack aswel!
down off the pier in the harbour cast to your left and theres a sand bank and its covered in flounder, ground bait fishin with mackeral or lug! on low tide at night just cast out past the rocks with a about a square inch of mackeral and you'll bang into dogs all night long only problem is the crab get it before the fish sometime, small sea scorpion are also in the harbour, remember gettin one when i was about 7 and havin a mini heart attack hahaha and sher if you ever get bored put a size 12 and a tiny bit of mackeral on and drop it in where by the dark water just about a foot under the surface and you'll see all small polock chasing it! tis what i do with my sister when she's gettin mad about not catchin anythin.
then when the water is nice and calm and you see the mullet in close throw in small amounts of bread and see if they start feedin on them and if they do wrap up a size 10 in bread only leaving the hook showin and lob it around them on the float and if you see the float movin either left or right strike and sit back and enjoy the fight out of him
most the hooks i use for all fish mentioned except the feathers are either size 6,8,10, or 12.
Hope this helped ya

its in front of where the adventure center, its goes pj's place then the adventure center and sailing club and then ice packin place,Jamie1 wrote:Where is pj down the harbour
ya gotta go up a set of steel stairs to go into pjs, its hard enough to explain, wait actually ya know where all the ky aks and sailing boats are kept in the big steel place, its above that
