Whats the fishing like in Ballyquinn near Youghal this time of the year. Is anyone fishing the area

had some decent codling in the last couple of weeks. some say its going to get better. been on whiting bay but all I had where dog fish. The cod, by the way where at Youghal. If you live around the Dungarvan area the fishing has been great at Bunmahon. a mate of mine had 3 great Bass last week

last year ballyquin and surrounding beaches had large numbers of juvenile codling -quater to 1 ib weight-,cod can grow 2-3ibs in a year and with fish being creatures of habbit i'm expecting good numbers to return . already in youghal bay many fish recorded mainly 2-4 ibs, as i expected. these fish were not there last year! WATCH OUT FOR THE DRY COLD SPELLS , night time best.b/quinn deadly for big coalies up to 3 ibs around now.also big bass haunt after s/w gale-best 2nd or 3rd day when wind dies and motion is still in the water as it's clearing. if i can help or advise u further i'd be glad to-many years experience of these area's
