Mad About Muppets
Where is the best place to buy assorted colour 3" Muppets in bulk. What colour in general is best and is it a bad idea to use muppets bigger than 3" for boat competitions?
Entries now open for the Henry's Tackle Shop All Ireland Shore Smooth Hound Championships on July 18h hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

I have seen six inch muppets used with two whole squid in the UK on wrecks outside Bristol, I think it is best to match their size to that of the baits...
One tip I was given about muppets (I think it was John Johnson, skipper of the Lady Clare out of Achill) was to put a bead or several above the hook to stop the muppet slipping down and covering the bait... FWIW...

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...
2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks
