cork harbour

#1 Post by xavier »

yesterday, a cold night, went to my favourite place, Cork harbour, in the city ventre.
Fished from 6 till 11 pm, HT at 7.30 pm and as usual, i catched the most 1 hour AFTER HT!! used 1 rod, two hooks: lowest with half squid, second with lugworm, and a 3 Oz lead. Do NOT cast fareaway, 30-35 meter is anough.
Catched <OADS of whiting, many were undersized, but 15 were nice. Also 1 conger and 3 codling, each around 1-1.5 kilogram.
Tomorrow, I go back, or I go to Ballyncotton, we'll see. Kinsale, long bridge and behind the Fort, is also a favourite place for me, loads of codling amd whiting there, but most of them undersized!
Entries now open for the All Ireland Shore Cod Championships on November 29th hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC
