mercury tilt & trim

hi I am haven trouble with my trim an was wondering could any bode give me some advice on it
the trim goes up and down no probing the trouble is that when your steaming along it wont hold in the spot that you trim it to
the engine keeps going down
is there some kind of adjuster on the pump that can be made
its a mercury 30 hp

Apart from checking elec. etc check the oil level. Have a look for leaks. Leak could be tiny but over time it would deplete fluid levels.

sounds like a leak to me also check and see if the is a seal leaking
