Bundoran???

#1 Post by Cormdogg »

Hi Lads, Due to a mix up it's Bundoran I'm off to not Strandhill. I was there 2 years ago and had plenty of Mack and Pollack with feathers off the cliffs near Tullan Strand. What could I expect this time of year? How does the pier fish? Any other good Marks not too far away?
Im stocking up on bait today, hope the rag don't mind being relocated! ;)

Thanks

Cormac

ha cormac... i fished a spot not far there 2 years ago.. mullaghmore harbour... have some great conger and mullet... you can see the conger swimming around in the harbour.... also the beach to the right hand side of the pier is supposed to be a good beach,, although i did not fish it... the charter skipper told us that.... at the very end of the beach near the bundora side there is a river that flows in and have seen loads of sea trout there.........good luck....

As lucky said Mullaghmore pier & the beach near the small stream on a filling tide have had some good Flounder,SeaTrout & small Turbot on Lug & Sandeel another good spot is spinning at the back of Mullaghmore but the rocks can be very dodgy keep an eye on the swells, another good beach is Rossnowlagh!
