Always found Veals and Gerry's of M much better - price, selection and quality of gear. Glasgow also has a tendency to state a price without VAT added .

I have never seen a price ex vat from GAC, and as I said they will price match any other company!

you can order a free catalouge from the web site and I guarantee there will be a few things that will catch any fishermans attention.

Tend to use Veals (who are quicker, and you get a discount once you become a member) more than GAC, in part due to being an impatient b****r who can't wait for the parcel to come in the post! Also used Mr.Fish over in Jersey recently when trying to get some more specialist stuff for spinning - although their website won't take orders from Ireland, a quick phone call to the very helpful guy there (Mick?) and the stuff arrived 3 days later. Good pricing too.

Have used GAC for years now and also Veals. Hard to beat GAC on price and I never had any problems with them. Ok, I tell a lie, I did get an incorrect order a couple of years ago but worked out in my favour. I ordered an ABU Mag Elite from them and specifically ordered the version without the level wind. They sent the level wind version and when I complained, I got an apology be e-mail, 3 days later, the correct reel arrived. I asked them who I should return the level wind version to and was told to keep it . SO I got the reel i wanted a few days late and my brother got a free reel out of the deal too
