Storing White ragworm

#1 Post by George »

I had some whites recently and stored them in trays of sea water in the bait fridge but they didn't last as long as I heard they did. Do they prefer being in smaller groups and how often should you change the water or does anyone store them differently?

I found the advice very helpful

Whites need constant care and checking . I keep mine for several weeks in shallow trays of sea water . Its important not to cover the worms in sea water as this allow bacteria to travel . Remove dead worms and worms that look unhealthy regularly .

Mike Thrussell said to fill the containers 3/4 full so maybe thos is why some of my worms died.

Thanks. I think I'll leave the ones I found alone. Only babies compared to those bad boys.

i store mine in coral sand with just enough water to keep em covered. change the water every day for the first week and every few days after that. their fairly bullet proof. make sure you remove any dead ones.
