28.03.10 whartons beach

#1 Post by last cast lad »

People:me and mick

Duration:4.00-7.00pm

Tide: up and over

Weather: sunny , fresh breeze

Bait:lug

Rigs:flapper

Results:flounder

Report: We decided to head to a local beach hoping that the flounder might be there in numbers as there was a good swell rolling in.
Got set up in the warm sunshine and micks first cast landed a good flounder with a long tail pushing it to 38cm :D We settled in for a decent session, hoping to run out of bait :P , however things then slowed down as we hadn't a touch for the next 2.45hrs and decided to pack up as I resolved to accept my third blank in a row. Started sorting and packing, pulled in my rig to find a scranny thin but long 38cm flounder :o

It certainly will, but to be honest we just got that bored waiting for nothing to happen for the afternoon, after such a quick start by mick the next 2.45hrs seemed an anticlimax, even lay sunbathing(in flotation suits   )for a while. but will definately be motivated to head back some evening if this easterly wind blows ever over
