Cobh, The Old Baths, Mon 18th Jan

#1 Post by Pat »

People:Me

Duration:18:15pm - 22:45pm

Tide:HT 19:17m

Weather:Very foggy with SE breeze

Bait:Crab & Lug

Rigs:One Hk Pat

Results:13 codling (between 27 - 33cm)

Report:After picking up a nice few codling in Sunday's competition (see viewtopic.php?f=5&t=25508) I decided to stay closer to home for a spot of fishing. Besides I had a bit of lug and crab left over. I opted to fish a shore mark that's rarely fished but about 120 yards offshore lies an old cod boat mark that some of ye auld seadogs might know  , 'the half penny hole.' I can just about reach it with a whack of a cast. Almost from the off I started getting bites. Nothing massive but still a nice evening's entertainment. Just shows that there are plenty of fish to size in the harbour at the moment. Hopefully they will stick around in numbers until the next light line comp on Sun 14th Feb.

Mighty session, well done and like the lads said, hopefully there will be a few big ones turn up soon.
A bad days fishing is better than a good day at work.
