Report:Decided to get a short session in before christmas, plus my lug were really not in good shape despite my best efforts I only managed to keep them 5 days. It took about an hour to reach the beach with all the back roads covered in snow but got set up and the air temperature turned surprisingly mild, felt about 5 or 6 degrees
. Right away we were both getting rattled with bites but I couldn't seem to connect with anything 
while mick landed 4 coalfish on the trot 
all 20-30cm 
. an hour passed and then we each had a dogfish so at least I saved the blank
