donegal beach 22.12.09

#1 Post by last cast lad »

People:me & mick

Duration:7.00-10.00pm

Tide:rising

Weather:calm, surprisingly mild

Bait:dead lug, squid, sandeel

Rigs:pulley, flapper

Results:me 1 dogfish, mick1 dogfish 4 coalfish

Report:Decided to get a short session in before christmas, plus my lug were really not in good shape despite my best efforts I only managed to keep them 5 days. It took about an hour to reach the beach with all the back roads covered in snow but got set up and the air temperature turned surprisingly mild, felt about 5 or 6 degrees  . Right away we were both getting rattled with bites but I couldn't seem to connect with anything  while mick landed 4 coalfish on the trot :?: all 20-30cm :D . an hour passed and then we each had a dogfish so at least I saved the blank
sorry no photos
It's all about the fishing
