10,000 EURO FINE

A wellknown fish merchent was recently fined 9,800 euro for posossion of 30 boxes of poached bass. 8) the fish were found on his boat..

pity they dont take the boat!! still 10 grand is a fine thats going to hurt :D mabye put a few more off poaching!

Great result :P :P Would be even better if they could find out who
is buying these bass i.e Fish mungers , hotels, resturants, pubs . These
people are every bit as bad as the man that is poaching :twisted:

I’m locking this as there is no proof of such an incident ever happening.
Some facts close to this topic
Over a year ago a boat out of Ballycotton was fined around €6500 for be in passion of around 167 bass
Thy were caught as the loaded the fish into a truck for export
A thread exist some where on the site about it .
Cortaz was PM with the above details but no reply came back
