Re: A call to arms RE: Article 47
Great write up here also http://www.worldseafishing.com/blogsdia ... -down.html
It might also help if each and every member writes or e mails their MEP. I sent an e mail to Brian Crowley MEP today. Here is a link where members can find their local MEP and all information about them and contact information http://www.europeanirish.com/Living/mep.htm
If we all write or mail our MEPs then they will be left with no doubt about our feeling on this stupid article. I pointed out to Mr. Crowley that this will divert our protection services from their real task of saving our seas from the rape of our waters by fleets from other EU countries, notably Spain. I also pointed out to him that we stand to loss a lot of tourist money from anglers not coming here, due either to our fisheries being deemed to have had their fair share and shut, perish the thought, or because of the hassle caused by boarding parties and the like.
I would urge every member of this great forum to e mail their MEP and express their feelings in no uncertain manner, they are there to serve us and protect our interests in the EU so please, please, please get your e mails of to them now.
Regards Wez
