Report:we had a boat booked for today but the boat was cancelled because of the weather!again!! jason told matt and jimmy of my quest for the elusive flounder and they took pity on me. so we were whisked off to a secret mark in the heart of north mayo to fulfill my ambitions Well boys ye came thru in spades!! every one had a couple of fish except john who blanked,i finally got it right and caught my first flounder of 2009,then my second,and my third!! :Dno small thanks to fresh lug and rag,thanks again boys! jason had two,james and matt had one each,jimmy had five even though he was not fishing for them!!matt and jimmy were disappointed with the day as this mark has produced many species for them,but im a happy man. jimmy recons hes never seen anyone jump around whooping with joy after catching a flounder! Its a fine mark and we will definitely be going back!

na,went stright to bed after the report,this beach fishing mullarkey is a lot more tiring than rock fishing no place to sit!! next species, bass! so ill be up next week,and you can show me how it is done

Neither have I now that I think about it

Last year I often used to bring a third rod and just lob it out about 15 m on a beach to target them but I got lazy this year and just bring out two rods.
