Hard luck mate, I know the feeling I've had more unsuccessful lure sessions for bass recently than I'd care to remember but persistence always pays off and I eventually got my first one of the year last week, so keep at it. Btw the way how do you find the Xlayers? I must pick up a pack, still using Slug-go's, Power Minnows and that kind of thing myself but I'm curious to know what all the fuss is about.

hey nicefish,
been down that "wayish" for the evening/night rising tides a few times during the week, 19th & 21st (predictable fishing thread by cortaz) had a bass each night but before the h.t. and a few eels. by the way i was using 3 or 4 lug laced up on a 2 hook rig
but at and after the fill was quiet! try fishing in the surf as it fills closer to the shore,
i fished sunday night moving back in with the tide and only managed one eel and a crab! :) it was
windy but no surf at all and, i headed 2hrs or so before full tide
hope im not insulting yer knowledge!! Thomas

Thanks Dave, the xlayers are deadly looking I just need a bit more practice on this walk the dog lark. :( I have a 14g head on mine might try the 6g head next, and I had a snap swivel on which i feel didn't help.
