I was rather asking about that mark further down from the eye. Was curious whether it is some sort of natural scar or rather something that happen in the process of landing the fish.
The first estimate of over 180lb came from me trying to lift the fish into the boat myself, having had way more than my fare share of Commons I knew it was a heavy fish. The estimated weight of 200 - 220lb has come about after comparing the fish to the pictures of the Welsh record Blue which was held in the exact same position so we were able to take a comparison off that.How did you guys estimated its weight? I'm assuming that based on TL, FL and G (can't remember the equation exactly - the one with 800 factor in it). I'm curious what was the total length of that fish.
