Re: predictable fishing.
Fished 2 sessions yesterday, morning and evening.
Morning session, had 13 fish on a surface lure in 2 1/2 hours. Lost/missed half as many again. Average stamp of fish was 4 - 6 lbs.
Evening session on a different mark produced 5 better class of fish, best an estimated 9 lbs. Had a few strikes that didn't hook up.
Happy days.

Re: predictable fishing.
It was about the worst weeks fishing I have had this year - 5 sessions (bait and lure), no bass (only one possible bass bite that I lost), one flounder, one plaice, one conger and four dogfish and about 3 tons of weed

Although I did manage to collect about 40 razorfish during the low tides at the weekend.

Re: predictable fishing.
not as good as i would have liked, lot of rain/wind flooded the area, local river burst its banks wednsday am, so did not fish as much as i would have, had a few each day i fished, about 12/14 in total, nothing great, best of it was 1 just shy of 10lb, and a 7lber on fly.somedose wrote:cortaz wrote:the moon is "new" today at 11 am, both S.T + M.T. occure at 13.30, from 1 to 2pm i will catch 5/6 Bass up to 5/6lb......................................i,l bring the camera![]()

the 7lber deserves a special montion, out with a mate who had never caught a good bass on fly, the first mark produced 1 follow/missed take on a popper fly, checked out another few marks none were fishable, we had been out most of the day and bout 8ish decided to try a tiny hotspot whit in the bay, there were about 40/50 mack bashers already there
no need to worry the knots held, and so did our nerves

BIGGER BASS.
been tryn a few sulunar combinations last few months, fished 8, S.S./M.T.S landed bout 20, with in 6 at/over 10lb. best 12.25
lost a few crackers, left feeds in 2 and 4 with traces attached
.......................................................................................................................................................1 i wont forget, yas probaly wont belive this
, but it happened, and its true, fished a mark landed 2 and hooked a biggie jst as the light was going, went foul after a few mins, bit the line and tyed it to to some trife, returned at l.w. line and swivel still there 25 euro S. feed gone
, fished there again that eve. with a panchenco thay a mate had broken give it to me and i had superglued it back together,
5 yards out it was taken, the fish done his AC/DC impression and i cud see the S.F. flat under his chin, then the fish was gon, with half a panchenco in his jaw and ths S.F. in his chin, thats 50 euros
, went back again the next eve. and again as the light was going, the S.F. got hit hard 3 yards out, this is a very reefy patch with a lot of rocks stickin up above the water, so i gave him no quarter
, evert time he dived i jabbed the head off im,........... drag thightened, backwind disengaged, every time he dived as the handle sped round just tapped/stopped it momenteraly, it knocked the head of him, jab, jab, jab
got him in and got my 3 lures back, i would have liked to release him but he was bleedin a lot
, i left the lures in him .............sat down and had a smoke
, and wondered had i caught a fish
or killed a warrier?.........he won the first 2 battles, but i won the war
.................
