Report:the bosses 2 sons and a friend had booked to go sea fishing from a boat but it was canceled so they asked me to bring them shore fishing,i didn't bother to try my ray mark as the tide was going out and it rained very heavy on Friday, headed out to cleggan pier so we could have the wind at our backs but the pier was full of people so headed towards aughrus beg but the wind was too strong so we moved to rossadillisk quay and tried the beach, one of the lads had a good bite here but no fish moved over to a rock mark and after a bit i had a fish on,nice fight of the fish but it ate trough the line, decided to set of a conger rig and had a few taps on the rod but no fish
just as we were packing up one of the lads reeled in a strap conger 1lb weight, they were happy to see one fish as none of them ever sea fished before

the weather was rough, gale force winds but the rain steered clear of us,so windy i didn't even plan to go out fishing until the lads rang,i didn't expect to get anything but didn't tell the lads that  the novices were very happy to get out fishing after the boat was canceled ,they were amazed at how fresh the air was and how tired they were after it,at least i got to check out a few different spots.

fair play to you to bring these boys out for a session after their earlier disappointment and despite the conditions managing to get into fish, nice one. :) 8)

Nice one 8) good report and nice picture of conger.
I love fishing for them, I must give them a go when I am down in Co.Kerry in September, there's big ones down there
