wexford marks 24 to 27th july

arPeople:myself missus and the boy

Duration:7 hours over three days

Tide:up and down

Weather:very windy

Bait:lug and rag

Rigs:

Results:7 bass 1 flounder




Report:headed away for a few days with the family for a break and some fishing. started off very slow a lot of lads down fishing so i taught there must be fish around when i seen so many locals down. but ,as night fell one by one they left no one had got a bite so i was the last man standing .i said to myself one last cast and im off .straight away i missed a bite so back out again bang bang the rod went crazy 5 bass in 45 minutes biggest around 3lb. couldnt keep any of them down in the camper no were to keep them fresh wasnt sure what day we were heading home but didnt care the crack was great . headed down the next morning but weed came in couldnt fish it try again that night but the same crack to much weed . got fishing monday morning landed 2 bass and a flounder which i kept for the pot weather started to turn bad and the bait was running low against protest from the missus and the boy headed home.

two lovely fish there, :mrgreen: hope to catch my first ever in kerry next month.
