Fair play to you for helping that gull, unfortunately its not the first time I've heard of animals getting caught up in discarded traces but at least that fellow flew off unharmed.

Well done lads nice mixed bag of fish there,Also well done Jordan on out fishing Daddy again.I know the feeling alan i took Shannon to Bangor yesterday for a spot of Mack fishing she got 30 macs and i got 5 all were a decent size to.

cheers paddy. we've had no luck on the mackie front from the shore this year at bangor i even spent 4 fishless hours over at grey's point this week feathering too. seems like the macks are avoiding us

thanks dave. at least i did'nt have a bunch of travellers trying to bash my head in while i was sorting the gull out, like with you and the horse jordan say's hi, and the christmassy bling on the rigs comes from a great wee find i had a few months ago. i was in a wee arts & crafts shop in belfast and got a bag of sparkley and holographic sequins and beads for £1.50p. easily over 1000 pieces in the bag. down side is that they are all snow flakes and other christmassy shapes,,,,,, but the fish are like magpies and don't really care for what shapes the bling comes in. just so long as it's bling .

cheers minty. we got a load of mackies for the bait freezer and a couple of 3lb wrasse and shorty got a 4lb pollack which we had in batter last night with home made chips . i'm still feeling stuffed now. you should have seen the size of the fillets that we got off it. they were hanging off the sides of our plates

cheers dan, just read you dee report. that was some ammount of fish you's had between you . my mate went down and saw you but he said the harbour was shoulder to shoulder with the bashers so he went on round the coast a bit.

cheers dave, if you're ever up this way just drop me a p.m. and we'll try to get you into contact with one once the gull had calmed down he seemed to fly off none the worse. thankfully none of the hooks punctured any of his vital organs so as bad as the wounds looked they were all pretty superficial.
