cheers ghost, i think we've lost more fish at that mark than landed     all the big chaps seem to be right in the kelp and you have to strike lightning fast or they get the head down and it's game over :x :x :x but i don't mind the tackle losses when the fishing's good. it's the oddest feeling to be chucking your gear into the kelp on purpose. at most marks you try to avoid the kelp :| :| :| :| :| i think we're gonna concentrate on stocking the freezer with mack over the next few weeks. so the mark will get a wee rest until shorty get's off school :P

Nice one on the Huss Al, I'm sure the wee man was ripping, has he forgiven you for losing his conger yet

Well done on the mullet as well Dawsey.
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

cheers frank. i know, who would have ever thought that mullet could be used as huss bait    it was only when carol was filleting them that he gave me a chunk and i noticed how oily it was :| :| . but it certinly turned the huss on. but i'll need to see carol again for some scraps as i've not caught a mullet myself yet     . he goes spear fishing for them nearly every day in larne harbour and takes one or 2 home for the pot. he reckons they taste better than most other fish. but i could'nt comment as i've never tasted them myself.

Nice one man, aye rest that mark up til I get over for a bash  Ruth is fine with her book and the sun for a few hours each afternoon, I think it keeps us both sane

Cheers ronald, who knew my 1st mullet would be over here. Was good craic, feeding them up and watching the smaller ones timidly race past the one with the hook, the biggest chap in the group just came flyin in and smashed me up. Spooked the group though so that was the end of the mulleting for that afternoon.
