More Hounds

#1 Post by Danny M. »

People: Myself & Brian (he wasnt fishing)

Duration:21:30pm 01:30am

Tide: Rising

Weather: Great

Bait:Frozen Crab

Rigs:3/0 Pulleys

Results: 8 Smooth Hound, Starry & Common

Report:

I ventured out for a Hound last night just to get it out of my system for the weekend (Im being forced to drink Heineken today :P ), tried a few spots I havnt fished yet this year. First port of call I met Salty Dog off the site here, sound bloke. Nice to meet you mate!
I only had a couple of casts here as there was too much weed for my liking.
Anyway I moved a bit down the beach for a few more casts to see if it there was any less weed, unfortunatly not. So I headed off to another mark, seen a guy on a moped carrying 2 rods and gear as I left...quite a sight :) !

Arrived at the third location and I seen one of the lads car parked up, arrived at the beach and Joe had just lost a cracker of a Hound right at his feet. So I fired out a bait and resulted in my first Hound of the night, I beached 8 Hounds in total in around 1 and half hours both Common and Starry. Good Sport all round.
Joe had a lot of fish too, dont know how many though.
