Re: Lidl
you were lucky - the multi-x beach combo they were selling is a complete crock (there's a post somewhere with a pic where i broke one). one of the specialist kits would be a better buy.
it's the Lidl B-Square Surf Kit you want. great buy. know a couple of people who have it and they're happy with it too. i've been slaughtering fish left, right and centre with it. great ROI. bizzarely it's ringed in a way that will work for mutlipliers too. watch out for my review of it soon...

How many more times are you going to shove this crap down our throats?
those rods are cheap for a reason. they're utter rubbish. sure they catch fish, but ive done that with a stick and a bit of line.
save yourself some money in the long run and go and buy a decent rod from your local tackle shop folks.

not everyone has the money to splash out for a decent rod,the cheap rod are handy for someone who is new to sea fishing and wants to try it out
i started with a beach caster and reel that i bought for 40 euro when i knew i liked the sea fishing i bought some decent rods
i bought the Lidl multi-x beach combo for a bit of fun, knowing that the rod could break at any time just adds to the fun,you have to play the fish and it gives the fish a better chance
with the decent rod you can just pull the fish in
i see in the local super market pollack selling for over 13 euro a kg and for 25 euro for everything you need to fish all you have to do is catch 2 kg of pollack and your rod is paid for,you cant go wrong

Re: Lidl
After reading brow79 post last week on what he did to his very expensive spinning rod I agree. My mate asked me to get him a rod out of Lidl he wants to give this fishing lark a go, it only cost him 25euro. I started fishing last summer and paid 90euro for rod reel to start me mack bashing the reel lasting three outings
and I was only using the three feathers not 5 or six
.So if my mate likes the fishing he can upgrade his reel to a Shakespeare Mustang ZFS-70 cost 19:99st

UP THE DEISE!!!!!!!
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.
